Jen & Max
June 11, 2016
The Roxbury Barn
Roxbury, NY
Jen and Max are dear friends of mine, and their wedding was one of the first I photographed, though since I also had bridesmaid duties to fulfill, the accomplished Jerome Nevins was the primary photographer. Jen is an incredible event designer, and the day had her fingerprints all over it, with gorgeous details, special touches, and joy at every turn.
It poured cats and dogs the morning of the wedding - so much rain that flood sirens were going off at the ceremony site! But as if this wedding was blessed by the weather gods themselves, as the bride and bridesmaids climbed into the car to head to the Roxbury Barn, the sun broke through, and in the end the day was almost as beautiful as the drop-dead gorgeous bride.
Jen's father brought an incredible vintage Thunderbird to drive her to the ceremony site in.
The handsome groom and his groomsmen wore navy, while the bridesmaids were in shades of pink and grey.
The ceremony took place in a beautiful pine grove, and was followed by cocktail hour atop a hill at the venue. We then moved into the (very chic) barn for dinner and the party, before ending the night hugging, laughing, and occasionally crying (with joy, of course) in front of a huge glittering bonfire under the starry sky.
